"SDF" Begins Withdrawal from Aleppo with Agreement with Factions

The "Syrian Democratic Forces" announced today that they are determined to protect the residents of the areas under their control, as the Kurdish People's Protection Units began their withdrawal from the city of Aleppo in accordance with an agreement with the armed factions.
Two sources from the Kurdish forces confirmed that the withdrawal process has begun from the northeastern parts of the city of Aleppo, where civilians can leave those areas to northeastern Syria, which is controlled by the Kurdish forces, according to reports from Reuters.
Video footage showed a convoy of the Kurdish protection units moving towards "SDF" controlled areas in northeastern Syria.
This announcement followed a tweet from "SDF" commander Mazloum Abdi, in which he indicated that the situation in northwestern Syria had witnessed rapid and surprising developments, as his forces faced intense attacks from multiple fronts, coinciding with the collapse and withdrawal of the Syrian army and its allies.
Abdi added that steps had been taken to open a humanitarian corridor between their areas in the northeast and Aleppo and Tal Rifaat to ensure the safety of the residents; however, the Turkish-backed armed groups had closed this corridor.
The commander emphasized that his forces had made diligent efforts to defend civilians in Aleppo, Tal Rifaat, and Shahba, asserting their cooperation with all active parties in Syria to ensure the safe exit of residents from the region to safe areas under their control in northeastern Syria, while maintaining their commitment to protecting the Kurdish neighborhoods in the city of Aleppo.
Farhad Shami, the director of the media center in "SDF," stated in previous remarks that the forces are still present in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyah neighborhoods of Aleppo and continue to defend their residents.
These developments come after fierce clashes between Turkish-backed factions and "SDF" in Tal Rifaat, and coincide with the "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" and allied factions recording full control of the city of Aleppo for the first time since 2016, with the exception of the Ashrafiyah and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods and other camps in the Shahba area.
